Building your own case for a water-cooled PC is an incredibly popular pastime amongst the modding community for the simple reason there are very few retail cases out there that can cope with more than one large radiator without significant modding. Monster 2 is one such project and as it's maker, PabloFunky. puts it perfectly when he says 'I was fed up with all the cases around that never suited my needs'.


The internal chassis was made by folding sheet metal to the desired shapes and securing it together after adding some M3 inserts. This was powder coated a light blue.


The external panels were milled then offered up to the internal chassis to a test fit. They were then send off for their own powder coating session, this time in white.


It wasn't long before we got to see the case back together again and what was immediately apparent is just how large it is. PabloFunky claims there's space for up to four 4x120mm radiators and we've spotted a single 120mm radiator in the front too - awesome.


The case still needs a few licks of paint but the water cooling gear has found a home, giving us a superb view of the front of the case with the system powered on. We initially thought Monster would refer to the huge size and massive water cooling potential the case offered but it appears PabloFunky has access to a superb airbrush artists who has been hard at work with the side panels.
